Especially nice in spring as the new growth starts and the fresh red leaves appear to sit on top of the older green ones. The summer colour is a good red and the tufts of silver hairs at the leaf tips are like little sparklers. The pink flowers are attractive, when they appear. Small, compact rosettes.
