And I've the same question as Joop about the colour of the rosette.

Dear Marko,

thank you for next report and thanks for wonderfull photos from Belogradchik and nearby. I was there twice. It is very interestring, that Jovibarba heuffelii grows there almost on every rock (on sandstone). This year I explored the limestone rock near the TV tower, there grows also Jovibarba heuffelii.

Yes, the heuffeliis are really so blue. I wrote there about one habitat under the town of Belogradchik.

vielen Dank für den nächsten Reisebericht und auch vielen Dank für die wundervollen Bilder aus Belogradchik and aus der Gegend von Belogradchik. Ich habe diese Landschaft zweimal besucht. Ich finde interessant, dass Jovibarba heuffelii fast an allen Felsen (Sandstein) wächst. Dieses Jahr habe ich die Kalkfelsen in der Nähe des Fernsehturmes über der Stadt untersucht, Jovibarba heuffelii wächst auch da.

Ja, Jovibarba heuffelii sieht wirklich nur so blau da aus. Ich habe schon hier im Forum über einem Naturstandort unter der Stadt geschrieben.

You've already answered about the color. Maybe it's interesting that plants
I brought from Bebresh Dam and Baba Peak on Balkan Mts. turned out to be blue
in culture, although in habitat one was large green and the other one small red.

I think it is better to establish new topic. It is better to write about one habitat in one topic, because houseleeks are so variable, that on the other habitat in the nearby can grow totally different plants.
About the colour of the rosette leaves. The plants of Jovibarba heuffelii from "lowlands" of Bulgaria have also this colour, but the plants from Belogradchik have unique appearance with dark red long tops of the rosette leaves.

I glaube, dass es besser ist neues Thema zu gründen. Es ist wirklich gut in einem Thema nur über einem Naturstandort zu schreiben, denn Hauswurz sind so variabile Pflanzen und an einem nächsten Naturstandort in der Nähe können ganz unterschiedliche Pflanzen wachsen.
Zur Farbe der Rosettenblätter. Die Rosetten von Jovibarba heuffelii aus den Ebenen Bulgariens haben auch solche Farbe. Trotzdem haben die Rosetten aus Belogradchik eigenartiges Aussehen mit den langen dunkel rot gefärbten Spitzen der Rosettenblättern.

Maybe Belogradchik - Kaleto? Kaleto is the name of the fortress above the town.

Vielleicht Belogradchik - Kaleto? Die Festung über der Stadt heißt Kaleto.

If these heuffelii's are so lovely blue, we don't need Echeverias! I put this plant high on my wishlist.

Wenn diese heuffelii's so schön blau sind, brauchen wir keine Echeverien! Ich setze die Pflanze hoch auf meine Wunschliste.

One of the pictures is taken outside the Kaleto, so I would say that it's all one big population.
