Marco Dobos im Oktober 2015
This spring I got this interesting variegated Sempervivum from Japan.
I couldn't find any info about it so I asked my friend who sent me this plant
if she maybe knows more. She did the whole research and now we know
that plant called 'Vanilla Chiffon' was presented by
Mr. Ken Osada.
Mr.Osada is the owner of well known Cactus Osada Co.,Ltd nursery.
He applied in 2010. to Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
to register plant called 'Osasempfuji' , and
in September, 2015., plant was registered. (Wow, 5 years!)
Name 'Vanilla Chiffon' is a nickname that breeder gave to this plant, and it's
sold in his nursery with this name, although official name is 'Osasempfuji'
Now i only have 1 rosette, so let's hope it will survive. I promise fresh photos soon.
This is my photo, and you can use it in lexicon, others are just links.
I will also try to contact Mr. Osada to confirm my story.
Rough translation:
''Vanilla Chiffon' is a new variegated Sempervivum which is beautiful in spring.
'Vanilla Chiffon' becomes green after spring, and variegata disappears.
And 'Vanilla Chiffon' is new Sempervivum registered with in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries last month.''

''From Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries website registration contents
'Vanilla Chiffon' is the name of the market circulation
The official registration name is OSASEMPFUJI''
